To help improve plant performance and reduce energy costs, the Mineral Springs WWTP Aeration System Project included the upgrade and replacement of the existing aeration basin diffusers to more efficient diffusers, and the installation of a new jet mixing system in the anoxic selector tank to replace the existing mechanical mixers. The proposed aeration system upgrades were designed to handle future WWTP expansions up to 2 MGD.
