To ensure the long-term protection of the US 221 elevated water tank, the interior and exterior coatings were rehabilitated. The tank is located adjacent to a major interstate and business park. The tank exterior graphics include an artificial water line and lettering visible to motorists that pass the tank each day. The US 221 Tank received 2016 Runner Up for the Tnemec Tank of the Year.
